    Thanks Colt562 for the GB.

I been moving mine around trying out different spots. I have it suction cupped to the dash in front of the state stickers.

    Happy Logging.

Mn. has some strict laws concerning suction cup mounting, the theory behind it is to help reduce smash and grab of GPS units. I really like the heads up mount above the mirror and the UG suction cup mount works great for that, but I wanted to get rid of the suction cup.

I also wanted to mount my phone in the top left corner of the windshield so had to wait on a 6' micro USB cable so that I only had to pull the A-Pillar cover once and snake both cables at the same time. I ended up cutting the flexible arm off at the base of the UG suction cup and using 4 narrow long wire ties to mount it to the mirror mount. It works perfectly and is rock solid, although cutting it down another 1.5 inches would pull it back toward the mirror better. Someday I might get around to it but for now I'm more than pleased with it. I wrapped a small piece of wire cable management Velcro around the wire ties and it blends in very well with no clamps or mounts sticking out behind the mirror.

Thanks once again for setting this up Colt562, much appreciated!

Speculating here... I think he pulled off the 4x4 switch and used a flat L bracket behind the switch (sorry for vagueness)

I never use my ebrake. I had a 1999 Tacoma (auto) and never once used the ebrake in the 7 so years I had the truck. Before Toyota bought it back off me due to frame recall.

Im a rebel like that \

Give me a bit to take some pics. It's actually really simple with a part from Amazon and cutting some plastic.

Ok guys, here's how I mounted mine.

I got his mount from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001B2PPYC/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ditched the phone holder but kept the mount. The UG mount slides right on.

I ran the cord through the accessory pocket behind the keys and cut a hole big enough for the connector in the rear. The hole is in the cup itself which pulls right out. I already had my brake controller wiring through there.

    I hope that's clear.
