Ordered a new Ultra Gauge, looking for the best place to mount it. Has anyone found that perfect spot? I want it to look professional and stuck to the windshield with a suction cup doesn't do it for me. Suggestions? Photos?

I used the suction cup, and mounted it to the lower left corner of the windshield. Its close to inline with the instrument cluster, and not obtrusive.

That's where the GPS is...already have one thing stuck to the windshield! Trying to avoid suction cup city! Ha.

I have mine right above the mirror using the suction cup... Routed the cable tucked right under the headliner.

That's not half bad...the buttons on the back make this a little tricky.

Okay, so I figured out a good spot for the mount that didn't require the suction cup. It's out of the way and you can get to all of the buttons. It's also completely reversible, which is important to me because if I get tired of this one day, I don't want holes to remain in my dash when I remove it. It's simply a small piece of sheet metal bent at the correct angle and stuck to the dash with some 3M automotive double sided tape. I painted the home made bracket with some flat black paint and you don't even notice it. Check it out:

Tried to mount it this way today but using velcro, well the velcro idea didn't work so I will have to get some double sided tape. Is the 3m tape the same that's at Home Depot and Lowes?

How did you get the suction cup to stick with the dots there? I tried and it won't stay.

I tried the bicycle reflector mount and it wasn't going to work with my mirror stem.

    Instead, I used a 1/2" U-bolt, 6 flat washers, 4 1/4-20 nuts, a few star washers, and a piece of 2" steel corner brace.
Velcro-stuck the basic bracket to that.

Simple yet not elegant. Doesn't cover anything important and not out of the way to look at.

I Like. Is it held on by velcro so you can get to the buttons?
