I have a '03 Tacoma and I really like where you mounted your Ultragauge. Just wanted to ask how you mounted it. Where you located yours I've got what looks like a plastic cover where something would have gone in it.
    Appreciate your feedback.

All relevant gauges are clearly visible so I don't see how any of that would hinder the driver's ability. Better than the dipsticks I see with their Garmins mounted on the windshield dead nuts in front of them, creating a huge blind spot in a critical location.

I put mine here. No extra parts needed and the cord is just long enough.

Where I have mine. I suggest buying the swivel mount instead of the suction mount if you decide to place it here.

I mounted mine about the rear view mirror and find it to be the perfect location.

    Thank you!

If you do decide to get one (if you don't already have one) there is just enough wire to run from where it is mounted, under the headliner, down the "A" pillar, and right to the OBDII port. I don't recommend the suction mount they sell. Not saying it's bad but I've personally never had really good luck with suction mounts and it is pretty big. I like the small size of the swivel mount and it works perfectly in that location.

In the current group buy, awaiting delivery. I did order the verticle mount w/swivel head during checkout. Just initially was unsure where to mount it but now definitely going your route.

Took maybe 15 mins tops. 2 bolts on your A pillar and the cable runs right down to the port.

Exactly where I mounted mine as well. Ran the cord inside the lip of the head liner, to the A-pillar (after I took off the cover, of course), and then down through the dash to the port. Looks VERY clean this way, IMO. Also used the swivel mount with adhesive base. Highly recommend this approach.

    Agreed.

Hell... I'm so OCD I even tried to make the cable match the bend in the dot matrix on the windshield

I know... I've got issues lol

I took mine a step further and put it in the sunglasses holder so it wouldn't be a distraction at night.

How do you like it up there? Was the cable long enough? Do you leave it down most of the time? Sorry lots of questions. I was thinking about this location for mine.
