Problem with that location is you have no access to the buttons on the back without taking it out of the holder. That and your sunglasses holder being down all the time.

Very glad to see that it will fit in the sunglass holder. Hope mine will have enough wire length to mount here, also. Intend to use velcro and set up the 1st screen with the readings I care about. When and if I want more gauge readings displayed, it will be simple to access while sitting in the driveway. The sunglass holder open doesn't bother me at all when driving. And, I can conceal the gauge by closing the holder.

That's how I have mine mounted. You can still get your finger behind it to hit the inverter or fog light button if need be as well.

Recently started putting mine in this cell phone mount...

...until the weather stops dipping below -20c and making my suction cup mount fall off.

I like that. Think that is what I will do with mine.

What are you using to hold it in place? The Velcro or a different holder? I want to go this route as well when mine gets here from the group buy.

I used the Velcro it came with (well that i bought) eventually it failed. Now i just have a piece cut to fit on the dead switch. The cradle has the hook side of the Velcro. Wires ran between the two panels.

I bought the adhesive mount too, there's no where I found to put it that I liked.

i see how that would be out of the way. but it seems like
that would be a pain to try to see it while driving??

I know I pretty much look at it at red lights.. I can however see it when im driving straight through the hole in the steering wheel. But so many vehicles are getting broken into for little things that I didn't want people seeing it and thinking its a gps or something

yea i get that for sure. thats what i am worried
about when i get mines installed. i just plan on
getting dark tints so its not that visible when the
    car is parked and off.

good idea, I think the best place to mount it is the mirror mount! That is probably where I'll move it to when I get tired of not being able to see mine.

if it were me i would get real tired of looking down at it within 20 min.
Yea i either plan on putting it above the mirror or on the top left corner
of the window. so when i get the top strip tint it will cover it better.
