I had a wired Ultra Gauge in my 2012 Prerunner for a good number of years, and have left it installed during periods where I didn't drive the truck for up to 10 days (vacation). No problem. Truck would start right up.

I installed the same unit into my new 2018 Sport and if left for more than 48 hours it won't start. Just solenoid clicks. When I check the power draw with an amp meter it reads about 40 milliamps which should be within the limits. Toyota service says it's the UG even though it didn't cause a problem in my older truck, they say this one is probably periodically activating some function in the truck and using up battery reserve.

    Anyone else see this behavior?

I married my tacoma likes this.
