Just did the rebate. It's really no big deal. A few questions about the instructions, but the answers are pretty obvious, and then hooking it up and grabbing some numbers. I'm sure they use the info for their website for the Gauge Availability Estimator. Took about 5min.......

Either that, or Al Qaeda now knows what gauges my truck reads.........

-How did you run the cable? I think I like that better than the window mount. Easier to pick up when needed until you get it dialed in.

-Is anyone doing the fuel or distance calibration? Want to post your calibration settings? Didn't know if we needed to do the distance calibration if we had stock tires..........

-"We can expedite the rebate if users scan and send the rebate material instead of mailing."
What email can we send it to?

    1. run obd port wire to underneath center console.
    2. hide wire.
    3. take out the colder holder.
    4. run the unit up through the cup holder.
    5. hide slack.
    6. replace cup holder.

The only thing is the wire will be compressed by the cup holder.... but it just a little bit of pressure. I don't think there will be any harm done. I like it better than that big monstrosity of a window holder.

Let me know if you need help. I am gonna try to take pics.

Yes it's secure on the credit card collection page (that's PayPal). What's not secure is the page before when it asks for all your contact info and to create a login. True that this page should be secured as well because it's passing your login and contact info in plain text to Ultra Gauge's server. It's actually an easy problem to fix, and Ultra-Gauge should check with their host about a security certificate (shared or otherwise) and https. Chances are they probably already have it with their hosting package and their designer doesn't know how to make it work. But again the CC part is secure ... or as secure as PayPal can be :)
