I saw someone ask about a group buy a few posts back. Just checked their website and they're showing them for $59.95 after $9 mail in rebate. May have to order one.

Yup, my wife bought me one for Christmas. If we weren't getting bombarded with snow, I'd be putting it in and calibrating it right now. Can't wait.

So does any one know if this will work on my 97 2.7l? I looked at their "Vehicle Gauge Availability Estimator" and it doesn't even have Tacoma's as an option. Just wondering if you guys knew knew otherwise.

I tried to search this thread and forum, didn't find the info I needed.

    Thanks!

I'd shoot them an note through their ticket system. My gut says yes where 1997 should be OBDII compliant - especially from Toyota. But to be sure, ask them. Don't forget to post the final outcome for others!

I was originally going to go with a SG, i'll see how I like it, if not I can sell it to a friend, kinda hard to say no to the price.

I bought my SG before the UG was out, so it wasn't an option, but I don't think I'd trade my SG for an UG due mostly to the form factor. While I prefer the UG screen (bigger and shows more info), it's harder to place in an inconspicuous, yet useful spot, doesn't disconnect from the cable, and loses its settings on disconnection.

    Just my decision points....

Please verify if this is a decision point for you though. The info I've gathered on the UG is from posts and the UG website, NOT from actual experience.

when peope say the UG doesn't process data as quickly as the SG, how much lag is there between adjusting your speed and the UG actually putting the acurate MPG'S on the screen?
