I hope this isn't a stupid question, but what can this do that my truck doesn't already tell me? (besides trouble codes)
I checked out the site and it tells me mileage, fuel consumption, etc., but my truck already tells me that.

If you go to bigger tires it'll calibrate to give you actual numbers

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Does it change the actual speedometer or just the display on the unit?

Just the display on the unit.

You can also use them to show transmission fluid temp when your changing transmission fluid it has to be at a specific temp. There's a lot of convenient things they do. I want the Bluetooth one so I can use my indash iPad with it

Any real differences between the MX and Plus?

I voted mx. Due to the extreme heat I'm going with the vertical mount and mounting it on the two blanks next to the USB port and not up on the windshield. I'm running the wire through the change cubby like another member did. I will need to trim the mounting bracket. Also I suggest using the vertical mount instead of the windshield mount if your going to mount it on the windshield. The vertical mount has 3m tape on the back. image.jpg

With the MX you can read Transmission Temp.

Subbed. Just looking into options. I haven't even fully explored my torque app yet. Since I'm now in a 2015 with an AT and will be towing, I'm motivated to monitor AT temps in the mountains.

Which won't do first gens or manuals to begin with anyways right? So other than that, any benefits?

I got my Ultragauge through a group buy! So I know they'll do it if you get enough buyers. :)
