IIRC, and I'm not saying I am. There is no "Oil Temp" gauge on the Ultra Gauge for the Tacoma 3rd gens. The coolant temp was the closest available and reasonably theoretically... the same.

A quick look at the website revealed nothing; it was a great relief some years ago just to get the trans temps out of the company. That was what I was concerned with when I bought the Ultra Gauge over the Scan Gauge. If I couldn't see it clearly then the gauge was worthless to me.

The Scan Gauge display was way too small for me to readily read at that time; Scan Gauge has since bought out a much more viewer friendly, albeit very large and pricy, Scan Gauge III.

My experiences and memory come from 2021. I bought it to view towing temps in the transmission.

Ultra Gauge support was very lacking in function, detail and politeness. I have no experience with Scan Gauge; only what has been discussed here on this forum. Ultra Gauge seems to be run by a one-man team.
