Got mine yesterday... MUCH smaller than I really even had imagined! I got the horizontal mount and will be attaching it to the front windshield.

Overall I like it. Wish there was a way to make the beeping stop after every push of a button but oh well...lol

The MX was able to see my trans temp in my Ranger! So for that I am at least happy I did not get the Plus version.

Overall great GB. I also linked it to my Ranger forums and a few people bought it as well... It would be cool to see how many people actually went through with the GB... at least 100+ I'm sure!

Just got mine also, I'll have to go play around with it when it stops raining. Waaayyy smaller then I thought! I'd also like to know how many units were sold with the discount from this GB, probably way more then we think!

Ok, here's my setup. Since I don't have all the extra switches on the left side of the steering wheel I attached the mount over the top rows two blanks. While I was there I took the front a pillar plastic off, installed a usb outlet and ran a usb cable to the rear view mirror for my phone mount. Used the Dremel to cut two holes thru the plastic "plug" for the wires to go. Worked great!thru. 20150912_185756.jpg20150912_185719.jpg20150912_185756.jpg20150912_185719.jpg

Clean, make straight, pics do no justice except it's not straight and your truck needs cleaned.

    Mounting? Meh. way low.

At least it will probably still be there when a thief comes calling. Low mounting means more out-of-sight.

ROFL I looked at this and was like "That's the most ridiculous mounting spot ever, how do shift to lower gears!" Then I realized you just had it sitting there and I'm the dummy lol

I've found that keeping it around the mirror or on the windshield somewhere is the best, that way your eyes don't have to stray that far from the road. Keeping it below console level isn't the greatest, as you have to look down to look at it. When I got larger tires on my old truck, I got so used to looking at mine right next to my rearview mirror because it had the corrected speed on it, so it was just the same as looking in my mirror.

I'll have to play with positions now, I have the mirror raiser thing with a RAM mount at the bottom of it, so I might just use the Ram mount for the Ultragauge and then find a spot for my GoPro elsewhere\

Thanks Carl (OP) for setting this all up. I just ordered the MX 1.3, to get the trans temp readout, and was able to get the great deal.

So with larger tires this device shows actual speed rather than the slightly wrong speedometer reading?

It can, you just have to go into the settings and put the correct % change

I installed mine today. I was also pleasantly surprised at how small the screen is. I had expected a large GPS sized screen, when in fact its about half the size of my iPhone6 display. I put it in the upper left corner of the windshield and ran the cable inside the A pillar. (Taking the A pillar off was pretty ballsy of me, seeing how the truck is less than 2 weeks old and I was afraid of breaking a plastic mounting tab)

Im overwhelmed by all the things this thing can monitor and Im still playing with settings. I read in the manual that the device can monitor outside ambient temperature, but I cant find the actual setting in the menu. Has anyone found this setting yet ( AMB F)? Im not interested in intake temp, Im looking for actual outside temps. Im wondering if my truck even has this sensor (that would explain the lack of AMB F option)

UG Plus. Simple velcro mount on dash. Cheap, easily removable and gives access to buttons. Was wondering how to access other gauges on the device. I'm most concerned about mileage, but I've seen RPM and other function on the UG site and they're not showing up on the gauge.
