Yes. Some where in the setting you can set up how many items per page and then in a different folder you can set different items to each page. Wish I made a video of it when I messed with mine a few years ago. I mostly just watch eng temp and tranny pan & converter temps

Glad you got it figured out!

To help in others in the future, here is a link to the manual. Page 19 has Gauge Zone Assignment to assign a gauge to a page and zone on the page.

Thanks for posting this! I just set my dad up with this on his Tacoma and took the boat out today. Very helpful. At one point the converter temp was climbing and he was going about 62 in S5 with ECT PWR on so we shifted to S4 and watched the temps come down. C'est bon!

Glad it helped you out and you got your Dad going. I think knowing those two temps is very informative when towing and in mountain passes.

And for anyone curious, he has a 2WD without factory tow package and it does have the trans thermostat. Trans temp seems to run about 160 degrees on flat land pulling a 2000 lb boat at about 65mph using a Derale cooler. This is in S5 and ECT PWR with the tstat pinned.

And to clarify, it is the TRD Off Road with 3.5 V6.

Since this thread is all about the Transmission I’ll add my inquiry here.

I have the Transmission Pan and Torque Converter gauged programmed and showing as is detailed in this thread. What I would like to see is the gear the vehicle is in and if the Torque Converter is locked up.

It seems that the other company (Scan Gauge) has these two options mentioned on their website as being available. I believe I have read that there are some ways to convert the Scan Gauge codes to the UltraGauge codes. Anybody with experience with this?

When I was talking with UltraGauge to get the trans temp codes, I asked about torque converter lockup codes. At that time (December 2017), they said they did not have codes for that and did not seem interested in trying to develop them.

When I first contacted UltraGauge about the trans temps, I gave them the Scan Gauge codes for those trans temps. They tried to convert them, but it didn't work. That is when they developed the codes for both temps.

Looks like I will continue my conversations with UltraGauge.

One thing about the two existing trans temp programs is the resolution of the temp. I did not like the 186.1 degrees so I changed the Left/Right entries from 31 to 30; this gives whole numbers nnn not nnn.n I see no reason to know if my trans temps are 199.9 or 200.1 200 shows enough precision for me.

Thanks for the info. I will add that as an option to the original post.

@Toycoma2021 did you have any luck getting torque converter lockup codes or gear codes from UltraGauge?

Not yet. I’ve been busy with other stuff. But the info received from them did not work and I had problems getting back to them. Don’t yet know if the communication problems are mine or their weird system. Likely mine.

Hello gents. I just purchased my third tacoma, a 2023 SR 2.7 4x4 AT, and am trying to set up an ultra-gauge for the first time.

The ultragauge is an MX v1.4. My troubles regard transmission pan and torque converter readings. I’ve perused both the manual and mx supplemental manual for Mgauge features but am at a loss. I’m still seeing “Err” for both readings.

    I have input the following:

    Thoughts?

    False alarm!

I reread the thread and used @ancient11 's wisdom from post #54 to get it working.

If you have a 3rd Gen 2.7L, try the 2nd gen codes.

    Thanks again, ancient11!
