Yes I do. I have the stock one that came on my off road. But like you said they don't do much while sitting still. Iv contemplated putting a small fan on it just for trails and such

Yea, I could see the temps getting pretty high crawling on trails

Any advice on what is wrong? I just got the MX 1.3 preprogrammed from Ultraguage themselves to my tacoma but all I get is "err" for the 8 different preprogrammed mgauges. The codes look right based on what is stated in this thread... Anybody have the same issue and got it to work correctly?

***edit: this is for a 2010 (with Auto transmission)

    Pics of each 8 mgauges

I tried a reset, changing the codes back and forth, etc

btw, how responsive is the button on the rear? seems kinda cheaply made?

Hmm. I'll double check your codes in a little bit, I have a 2005.

My rear button for some things I have to hold it a little longer and usually I feel I just click it all the way in

Thanks. As for the button feel, gentle clicks "sometimes" work... more often then so, it really needs a hard push for it to register. Im a little disappointed. Starting to feel as though I should have just purchased the scangauge from the get go. Hopefully someone can help me get it working.

I personally wouldn't buy a scangauge just because they don't look as nice. Could always contact ultragauge to see about exchanging it. Every company has a bad product once in a while.

I have the same issues as you as far as the feel of the button, so its normal in the fact that you're not the only one. Im on the fence about the purchase, i think it depends on how accurate i cant get the MPG usage to be. I just did the calibration so we'll see if it worked. I also sent UG an email asking to confirm the codes for the 12-15 trans temps and got the same response as an earlier poster, go search tacoma world. I realize they were helpful to one of our members, but what if I wasnt a member here. Why couldnt they just give the codes. Seems lazy to me. Thats the response id expect from Comcast

Yeah, that's not very good customer service. They should be willing to give the codes since we do not have all the mgauges readily available for the 2012-2015

2005-2011 code comes pre programmed straight from ultra gauge. If you have a 2012-2015 you will have to manually put the code in.

Well i can tell ya. Took my first long trip to southern ohio to see my daughter at college. Filled up from the get go and we went site seeing and saw alot of flooded roads and creeks out of there banks. Stop several times for site seeing, drove up and down and down and up some beautiful rolling back roads. Drove back home to western ohio and before I got home went to fill up. Ultragauge mpg was 21.7, actual fill up when I caculated on my phone was 19.3, so that being said, 2.4 mpg difference between ultragauge and actual mpg. Wasn't expecting that big of a difference, maybe it'll calculate more accurately during the next few fill ups. Just an FYI.....

You have to calibrate it as well if you haven't done so yet

Anyone else have any other codes that would work other than the one listed on the original post? UG support didn't provide much feedback on my "err" codes, which is a huge let down. Not sure what to do at this point.

Looks like I got the trans °F to work. I had to use the codes for 2012-2015 for it to register. Are there any other codes 2012-2015 that I can program in? Only one I see is converter lovk

I got the same response from UltraGauge as the others here have received "check Tacoma World". So it appears its up to the users here to figure out the remaining Mgauges for the 2011-2015. I took a wild guess on the Converter Lock and got it to work. I'll make another attempt at the others one weekend when I have some extra time. I have just entered the 1st calibration phase for MPG. I also got 21.4 MPG and actually had 19.4 MPG so calibration will be key. Thus far I'm fairly impressed with the unit for the price point.

I was a little surprised the 2015 models did not pick up the ambient air temp nor the fuel sender sensor.
