ultraguage not working

    idk what happen i jumped in my truck to drive home from a buddys last night and damn thing was just off. hadnt tried anything with it yet. probally gonna unplug it and check it out today, maybe unhook the battery?

    damn i really love my ultragauge too! its gettin me great gas mileage and idk if i can live without it now:(

    what should i do?

    i have one too, the only problem with mine is sometimes if i hit the menu button and something idk... but it erases my gauges, so i have to to the factory reset, and then reset the gauges. hope yours is that easy

    Just unplug it and plug it back it. Mine did the same thing. I couldn't get it to come on, so I reached down and unplugged it and plugged it back in and it has worked fine since.

    What I'm saying is seeing the MPG's drop live on your screen would make you drive more conservatively.

    You blew the fuse. Happened to mine, just replace the fuse labeled OBD in the under the hood fuse box. It's a 7.5 fuse.

    yeah i finally got around an just unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked fine

    although it seems like it takes longer to start up no

    Has anyone used one of these gauges on an 01 taco? I was looking at the compatibility chart on their website and it said something about it not being able to work on my year, which does not make sense because you would think that it would be the same for all of the 1st gen years....
    any comments would be appreciated

    I have an 01 and it works fine. The only thing you have to worry about is if you have abs. The ultragauge disables the abs, but if you don't have it then you have nothing to worry about.

    Mine did the same thing i think it had just come loose from the plug.
