Um, can someone tell me what is comprised of the TRD blower "fit kit?"

Just got my blower in the mail via Fedex today. I starting opening the box and to my surprise found a slew of parts inside the box aside frm the blower, did I get a fit kit along with the blower?! Zoom in to examine the parts in detail.

 

Dude if thats the case then I just scored one of the few remaining blowers out there for $3688 shipped!!!!

I will have a spare fit kit for sale here shortly.

 

I don't think that is, but I could be wrong. Box looks exactly like mine, and then I have an additional box about half the size that is the fit kit

 

There is a box above the primary one as pictured here. I wonder if that box has been generally included in the past or if it was put in, in order to include the fit kit with the assembly. Total shipping weight was 81 lbs. The charger itself feels more like it is 55-60lbs. Surprisingly light.

But of course I got the blower!

yea that's just the Main unit box, brother. The Fit kit has the intercooler as well. here.

I'm wondering if that is the case then what an extra $580 could possibly get you? It looks to be everything here I could need, then again this is my first one ever.

 

So the only thing $580 gets you is an intercooler and some miscellaneous hoses and clamps that you can wrangle up at your local auto parts store for much cheaper? Wow. I feel jipped for half a grand just for that.

Yep. Toyota in general rapes us on parts. I mean, with the list you might be able to go online and find them individually cheaper off of ebay or something. But personally I'd rather just have the boxes all ready and not have accidentally got the wrong thread on a bolt or something, mid install lol.
