Thanks 2019tacosr5, maybe I'll get some info on how common or not common this is.

To be clear on the condition. In all of these videos it has happened while stopping at the top of my driveway and shifting to neutral or park. It has happened a number of times, however, when shifting to drive. The truck has no power and 'lurches' forward with the RPM surges. No acceleration. If happened a few times infrequently when I bought it but has happened on a much more regular basis this winter. Luckily it has not happened while pulling out onto a busy street, however, I am starting to lose confidence driving it and I feel its a matter of time before that happens.

As well, Toyota thinks it may be a 'Regional Issue'. Perhaps something to do with gas additives. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada for those interested.

@Amanelot If you want to edit out my phone number from your repost that's cool, if not no biggie. Not too worried my phone number is out there, just don't want to break any forum rules.

TacoGuaco, No I don't think it's normal, as well, it has caused a situation where the truck does not move forward as expected. Could be dangerous at the wrong time. Did you have your dealership take a look at it?
