Every single video or walkthrough I have seen when trying to change the oil in my 2018 Tacoma, has led me to believe that the filter hosuing should be under the skid plate. I drained the oil and took the skid plate off, but there is no housing for the filter anywhere and I feel like I am losing my mind. Please help.

It’s a black plastic cap. It’s under the engine and towards the front.

I am betting this is correct. Is it located somewhere else on the 4 cylinder?

Nope, never worked on that engine. Can you fit any kind of a strap wrench up there?
