So today I took my grandfathers 2012 Tacoma DCSB to change the oil. While driving I noticed there was a vibration in the steering wheel between 50 and 60 mph. Took the truck to get the wheels balanced and all is good now. I asked my grandfather how long the vibration had been there and he told me over a year! What I'm wandering is could this have caused any damage or issues to the truck since he drove with unbalanced wheels for such a long period of time? Thanks in advance for the help!

Might have caused some odd tire wear if he drove hundreds of miles at that speed range.

    Otherwise it's unlikely anything happened.

Maybe that was his 'monitor'? When it shakes, I'll slow down............. :D
