Uncomfortable Seats

TRD package consists of stickers, different wheels, bilstein shocks, and different seats......basically. The seats are the most noticeable difference for the average buyer. Salesman says buy the TRD for 5 grand more, customer says why? Salesman has them sit down in the TRD. Done deal

 

Hello - I too have suffered with the uncomfortable seats in my Tacoma. I have a 2009 and love everything else about it! I ordered Wet Okole seats with an inflatable lumbar and carbon- fiber heat as an added option for my 2008 Civic (also uncomfortable seats), and TA DA I DONT WANT TO GET OUT OF THE SEAT NOW!! Just ordered a set for the Taco today. $327 with shipping and worth every penny! Side note- IMO Toyota created the gold standard of sport seat comfort in the 1982-1985 Celica GTS/Supras. These Recarro-style seats also had inflatable lumbar (THREE BACK POSITIONS!) and a multitude of adjustments. I never once took a trip where seat comfort was an issue in over 100k, including one cross country jaunt. I took'em for granted and have hated most seats in cars I've had since, including an 86 Celica. If you have an older toyota pick up, I believe those old Celica seats will bolt in w minor adjustments.

 

Someone totaled my 05 DCLB non-trd, and I recently bought a 05 AC trd model as a replacement. The trd seats were noticeably much nicer than my DC. Im very happy to have spent the extra money on the trd package.
