Is this a 3rd gen rocket Tacoma.

 

No that one had a whine in the rear end, veered to the right, and surged when they move the side stick.

 

With everyone’s luck lately it will probably fall on the Billstein plant, adding to even more delays.

 

Odds are it will land in the water, or at least an empty bit of land. Odds are though eventually they'll hit something important. Intentionally not deorbiting something safely isn't in line with modern best practices, but is pretty on brand for China.

 

Same folks that are okay with having rockets fall back on towns near their launch sites. There was a crazy video of one falling back, blowing up and then a toxic cloud coming towards a small town.

It is like the Russians trying to LARP the west.

 

The proliferation of space junk is pretty bad. Probably better if it fell back to earth.

 

I have heard from a few telescope guys that they are not happy about StarLink putting a lot more stuff up there. I guess each sat has a light beacon on it?

 

The sun lights them up.

No doubt, but deorbiting things intentionally in a safe location is the way to go rather than just trust to chance that they will land in an uninhabited location.

 

They tend to be reflective

 

gotcha. I remember talk of Space-X wanting to paint them “vantablack”.

 

Pretty sure there's heat absorption issues with that.

 

Does it have a functional hood scoop?
