So? For some people it is a huge investment and expensive to them, value is all relative and $40k to a guy who makes $30k a year is alot compared to a guy who makes more, dosent devalue their $40k truck in relation. Don't be a douche.

Maybe so but his comments come off douchey implying through them that OPs concern with his investment was irrelevant because he feels the truck isnt that expensive compared to cars he services.

Wasn't the OP's point that he thought he had sloppy sealent application...???

I'd agree with what I saw.... Don't give a shit how much anyone pays...that looks like sloppy work to me...!! Who knows...matbe the air-powered sealent gun broke down and they could not stop the line...??

    Anyway... it will be OK...

As a disclaimer I'm not really a car guy and this was my first truck. In all honestly I didn't even think to peep under the frame to see what it looked it. After peaking under the body the other day I was just surprised at the sloppiness, which looked like a post factory application to fix an issue, instead of something "standard". Hence why I reached out to the great minds at TW to see if it was something to worry about or not. On initial discovery my anxiety went up and I thought I bought a lemon. Thanks for all the input peoples. I am now a more informed truck owner today.

My 2006 had the same white sealant, just as sloppy. There was a couple rust holes near the back of the cab by the time I sold it last year.

Damn i took a flashlight and a roller and looked under mine. I bought a jeep wrangler in 2012 and the frame was rusting (brand new) made them repaint the whole frame after i noticed it.

But fuck it whats 40k to some of the TW CEO ballers

I have the white sealant like the OPs, but put on much cleaner. Did a full inspection of the undercarriage, diff, trans, engine and everything looks clean as a whistle.
