Ok Hive Mind. 2022 db cab sport. I have a Arb Twin Compressor that I want to mount under the passenger seat. I need to run three 8 ga wires, a 16nga from the compressor thru the firewall. I pulled the sill plate on the passenger side and it doesn’t look like I will have enough room to run them thru there. Drivers side sill looks like it has enough room. So the question is what is the best route from under the drivers seat to under the passenger seat?

i like to go under the carpet, at the front edge of the seat, and under the center console for that sort of thing. that way the only time it ever bothers me is when i'm digging for change or rogue french fries.

i haven't investigated much with this truck yet, but my ranger, when i needed to run a 1/0 cable in the same place, i just ran it along the frame rail underneath the cab, then found a rubber plug to pop up through directly underneath the seats that i could run into a distribution block. much easier than fighting to keep large-gauge wires confined to a sill plate that they don't want to stay in.

Thanks, trying to avoid taking apart the center console, maybe I can go around the back of it.

the only thing about attempting to go behind the console is that it places the wire in the crush path of feet of rear passengers. personally, i don't like the risk. YMMV.

Removing the center console is way easier than you’re probably thinking. It takes about 2 minutes.

I sent the fat wires under. There’s 2 spots under the seat one for the tailgate lock and the other is not used. I tapped the switch from the center console. The center console comes apart very easily. Most parts on this truck do.

Everything, except the ones I haven't done yet ;)
I mounted my ARB twin compressor under the passenger seat using desertdoesit's mount and ran the fuse wires under the carpet to the driver's side and the battery wires through the rubber plug on the passenger side. I have it all connected to a sponsoredbywifey's mod and have onboard air at all four corners.

Go through the firewall where your AC drain hose does, just make sure the wiring is above the hose after you push the hose back through. Easy location to access on the passenger side.

I ran the power out under the truck along the outside of the frame. They are inside the corrugated 3/4 plastic flex tubing wrapped in electrical tape the whole way to keep it water tight and wrapped a small section in foil tape where it went by the exhaust. Probably overkill but it’s there. Then across the top of the firewall tyrapped to the harness that was there. I was able to fish a 3/8 plastic corrugated tubing up under the center console plastic and wrapped it around the back of the center console and out the other side. Thru that I ran the illumination and ignition #2 wires. Tapped off the fuse block with a add a fuse and dash illumination light. The seat was a total pain only because I got the slides out of sync. Still need to run plastic air line to the tank and hook up the power to the battery. The goal is to have 3 air ports back, front and passenger seat. Was going to add one under the drivers seat but decided if it isnt there I won’t be playing in traffic if I break down.
