Let you in on a little known secret. The Federal Reserve isn’t part of the federal government.

Yea, the current one is, I believe, the third. The first two went bankrupt.

There are folks who refuse to take paper money. No usually it’s at things like farmer’s markets. Of course others refused to take credit cards.

Both are well within their rights. That bit about money being legal tender for all debts public and private is simply not true.

If it were the only legal tender bit coin wouldn’t exist.

Now in some countries the government is the issuer of their money. But not here.

Example of companies private and public buy out each other just in stocks and a wee bit of "cash". Or, just assuming debt/and or liabilities.

Once I get my CCW permit renewed, I plan on just using the glove box. It’s lockable, secure, easy to get to (can unlock it while in truck for quick access) and is already installed on every Tacoma. A locked glove box is less of an indicator that a firearm is potentially inside the truck than a aftermarket safe. I’m absolutely NOT arguing against the center console safe, I’m just saying the glove box is more “hiding in plain sight” option.

In Florida, this is where we can't carry:
    1. Any place of nuisance
    2. Any police, sheriff or highway patrol station
    3. Any detention facility, prison or jail
    4. Any courthouse
    5. Any courtroom
    6. Any polling place
    7. Any meeting of the governing body of a county, public school district, municipality or special district.
    8. Any meeting of the Legislature or a legislative committee
    9. Any school, college or professional athletic event not related to firearms
    10. Any school administration building
    11. Any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption
    12. An elementary or secondary school facility
    13. Any area technical center
    14. Any college or university facility
    15. Inside the passenger terminal and sterile area of any airport
    16. Any place where caring of firearms is prohibited by federal law
Notice that banks are not on the list. The biggest pain is not being able to carry into a restaurant that serves any form of alcohol, although the rule makes perfect sense.

I get what you're saying, although to be fair the Console Safe I have in my Taco lives under the factory armrest. With the armrest in the down position (which most of us probably leave it in anyways) no one would ever know there is a safe under it. Besides if I started locking things in my glove box whatever I wanted to put in there would have to fight for space with my GF's hair clips and hair brush LOL!

    Post Office, yes. Bank, no.

    39 CFR § 232.1 - Conduct on postal property.

You are invited to provide a similar citation for banks. I have never seen a bank with a non firearms sign, while every post office has a sign.

I was in the Federal Reserve Boston many times during my career in EMS. They have incredibly tight security, at both the doors and garage entry. That said, they are not the local credit union where you can walk in and out at will. About the only rules my bank has is no sunglasses or hooded sweatshirts (with hoods up) allowed.

Anyone know if one of those under rear seat locking conversions like this fits an M16-A4 with Comp 4 Aimpoint or ACOG and mag?

    Asking for a friend.

Good info. It's funny that two years ago if you went into a bank with a mask on, they called the cops. Now they call the cops if you don't have one on.

Last year during the height of the mask foolishness, I went to a nearby liquor store. I commented to the clerk behind the counter that I was looking forward to the day when a man who walked into a liquor store got shot on sight.

    He laughed and agreed.

Yea, mask + nitrile gloves in a bank is an interesting combo to see.

I now have land out west and I've recently noticed that don't give a shit attitude.

I sometimes see open carry here in Indiana, which I also prefer concealed. Weirdest place I've seen for open carry was a young guy with his wife and kid at an Apple Store mixed in with the hipsters.

Yeah I get that fighting for space in your own truck haha. I guess where my head was at was this, if some jag off already broke into your truck, they’re gonna rummage and if they come across your safe, they might spend a little more time on it hoping there’s a firearm in it vice a locked glove box is just that, a locked glove box. Unsure of what’s in there, they might just get outta there instead of risking more time spent dicking around with the glove box. Totally speculation, just where my head is at with it. A cost effective solution but not the absolute best either

The closest thing is ESPs lockable under seat locker. The transmission tunnel is the problem with any under rear seat storage in a tacoma. It is built of aluminum with reasonable locks. It will not fit a fully assembled AR, however it will fit an AR busted down into an upper/lower. I keep a get home "pistol" configured AR in my with spare mags.

Agreed. Even on the rare occasion I get a live check from someone I just use my bank's mobile app to deposit it. I can't remember the last time I was actually inside my bank. Plus here in Florida I don't go inside anywhere I can't get in and out of in 5 min or less right now. Between drive-up windows, curbside pickup, and delivery it's actually pretty easy to avoid.
