Box hits super hard and extremely clean. I ran one JL eight in my access cab and really happy I doubled them in this truck. I’m running the 5 channel Alpine PDX with Hertz component speakers and couldn't be happier with sound. Also applied sound deadening and MLV throughout the truck so extremely tight. Rear view blurs at full volume, for me that's plenty of bass!

Thanks for all the replies but unfortunately not intrested in building another one for awhile. I'm here for questions if you want to build your own!

Awesome job!! I recently blew my 8w3 micro sub and after working with my local shop we could not find a way to fit a 8w7 or 10w6 so I’m going with a custom box with 2 12TW3’s . I’m also not impressed by my Kenwood 7” components so I’m going to try the Hertz MLK 1650.3 . What’s the max mounting depth you got under the seats?

Max mounting under seat using a fiberglass enclosure like mine I would say 4.75” Its a tight fit with my 8w3s, I wouldn’t think anything bigger then this would fit.

I’m running the Hertz HSK in the front and HCX in the rear, couldn’t be happier they sound amazing.

Thanks u did a great job. I had the high energy’s in my last truck and loved how they would get loud and not distort and image very well. Just saw Crutchfield has the Focal Krx2 for 599 that’s 700 off. Never heard them but they get great reviews, hard Choice hertz or focal

Sorry, the amount of labor that was involved I don't see myself ever building to sell. You can do one yourself, just takes lots of patience!

Just two quick questions, the bolts that you attached the box to the cab with, did you just run those through the cab and bolt externally or were there threads somewhere in there?

Second one, where did you put the terminal block at?

The bolts go through the floor with lock nuts on the underside. Make sure to paint and use some RTV sealant to prevent moisture damage.

Terminal block goes on the front of fiberglass structure, plenty of space on the right or left side in front of sub.

Impressive. I'm the kind of person that likes to do my own mods, but I don't think that I'll have the patience/skills to finish a project like this one. I got the JL stealthbox and I'm happy with it. However, there is nothing like the feeling of doing/building your own mods. :hattip:

Put amp under driver (more height available) and lc7 under passenger. All wiring was ran when I had carpet out for dynomat and MLV

I did some thinking for the people asking for a mold. In reality we have a mold just flip the plastics bins over and figure out a way to cover the whole where the jack was. I would be using vinyl to first cover the plastics. Use a release and then fiberglass the tub. Does anyone else think this is doable outside of the truck? @Ridescrf450 what are your thoughts on this?

Using the plastic bin might work. I wanted to get the most possible volume and I believe the bin is smaller then they actual hole it sits in. Let me know if it works!!

Very clean install and great choices on your equipment.

Hertz components are a great set for the money. I preferred them over the Focals and Arc Blacks.
