I would measure to be sure. Ive seen members talk about the Hideaway 8 being a perfect fit under there and this one has roughly the same box dimensions. But I havent seen it confirmed yet. :anonymous:

I just went and measured, 3.125 x 10.375 x 14 will easily fit under my manual, 1st gen passenger seat.

Little of this, little of that.
Could this sub be wired into the stock 3rd gen head unit? I don't want to modify a whole lot but it would be nice to throw this in under the passenger seat.

Yep you could. Not sure the best way to connect though, not familiar with the 3rd gen stereos. The thread on the kicker t harness might provide some clues, or if we're lucky @destin_meeks will drop in with some knowledge.

There are lots of thread showing kicker hideaway installs, and the process will be the same. I would do a t-harness behind the radio so you can add a 4ch amp later if you want

    Oh man.

So I called the phone number listed here:
    https://mbquart.com/contact-info

Much to my surprise, a very helpful lady picked up almost immediately. Here's what she said:

    1) Audio Watt Store - the Amazon seller - is not an authorized mb quart reseller
    2) Authorized resellers change almost daily
    3) the RW-108A subwoofer is listed in their inventory system as discontinued
    4) Since the reseller is not authorized, there would be no warranty support from MB Quart.

Man that sounds like a hell of an industry to be in.

I think i'll order the Kicker one up above.

Made sure to double check where I bought my JL sub was Authorized. Fakes are rampant in that line.

I bought a Rockville RW10CA from Amazon. Hoped it would fit under either front seat. It didn’t. Ended up mounting it to the back of the rear passenger seat. Was easy to hook up and sounds great. Wasn’t looking to rattle the windows of the houses as I drive down the street. My kenwood HU has built in crossovers etc, so high pass filter the oem speakers, and I can turn it up fairly loud now, no distortion out of the oem speakers, and get a fair amount of thump from the sub. Still have some useable storage behind seat as well.

Not just that line but any high end product. Bought two pair of Work Socks. First thing that tipped me off was they felt different but sure looked the same as the former legit. ones. Yup, just came outta the wash & the labels weren’t woven in but rather cleverly designed iron on decals. Bought ‘em local from an authorized dealer. Now I gotta go back & try to get my money back.

I’ve used the Rockville under seat sub in a couple trucks. I really liked it. Great SQ especially for the price.

I bought that MB Quart 8" sub, doing a major HU upgrade, thought I would add a sub; and that price was right on Amazon.

The MB Quart unit seems well built, very heavy. I plan to install in the rear passenger storage area left, fits well there. The under the drivers seat fits...but tight, space also has two rear facing heat ducts, so you might need a spacers to keep a gap for vent airflow....that taco tunes metal plate looks the way to go.
