Under seat wires? not belt or airbag...

I was cleaning out my new Tacoma and pulled the driver's seat and found some capped wires. Does anyone know what these are for? Power seats for different markets maybe?

I've thought about these wires under the seat also, maybe a nice fully adjustable electric Camery seat or something might fit that

 

I have 3 possible answers.
1) flux capacitor interface wires
2) super secret monitering device that can tell when we release gas in our seats
3) once skynet goes live, the machines will use those wires to absorb tacoma drivers into the machine collective thus becoming immortal

 

The plug looks factory, the wires just "capped" with glue does not look factory.
Everything in the factory harness has a connector on the end, and it is rare that you'd see that much exposed.

Buy the truck new? If not, maybe the PO had an amp under there.

 

It is definitely factory, and I knew the previous owner. I will do some more investigating. I will report back with the color of the wires and see what a diagram says.

Seat heater wires for the factory heated leather seats available in Canadian TRD models since 2008 ?

Looks like a hack job to me.
Someone's mods that went wrong.
Looks like someone was living in that truck.

 

Thanks! I have the heaters from Clazzio that I have to install before the damn cold weather starts flying around here. I will pull those wires from under the carpet and check them for power. Thanks again.

 

That was just a guess

 

Apparently this is how Toyota ties grounds together, see the photo below. This is factory wiring from the harness in the engine bay going to the headlights...they spliced a bunch of grounds together and glued them together.

 

I had the same thing under my seat. noticed it when I installed my amps.

 

looks like this is still unanswered.. I am on the hunt as well.
I thought they were for seat heaters, but did not see anything on the passenger side....

just going to post your thread link here as well. Hope you find the answer to yours. A long shot but Defcon Brix just added new leather and may have an answer on his build thread for you. But, I think he had them installed. Gl.
