There are plenty of ways to customize this mod. I thought I would share this version. I've never fully trusted 3M adhesive especially under high heat and potentially below 0 temperatures, I live in CO. So, with not wanting to drill into the hood and wanting something more adjustable, I opted for trying rare earth magnets. After finding a pair of LED's, I Gorilla Glued them to the magnets along with the 3M that came on the lights(Lights came pre-attached to 3M). Then wired them together and through the hood, allowing them to detach and move with about 8-10 inch radius. When not in use, they can be tucked between the hood and the reinforcement panels. These magnets have a sold feel and would only worry if jumping it... Time will tell if the 3M touching the light will fail but I like having the ability of changing the position of the lights. Plus, with as many mods I feel like I need to make under the hood due to TW, I'll be checking them regularly.

I like this method. Do you have any Daylight pics?
Do you have links to the lights and/or magnets.?
Thanks for taking the time to post this.

Thanks. Yeah the magnets strength won't fade. I will take some daylight picks and post it. The hardest part was figuring out the lengths and where to thread the wire. Came through the center and put the Y under the hood scoop. The link for the lights is below. They worked great, but my only issue was how small the gauge was which made it difficult to strip when adjusting the length. The wires did come well protected though and plenty bright. The magnets I grabbed from Amazon. I ordered the 15 just to use for other applications around the house.

Still would like to hide the red/black wire a little better. In the process of adding a secondary fuse box, will take care of it then.
