So I spent a few weekends doing the dirty job in the hope that this would prevent my Taco from rusting out in a few years. It is a dirty job but I had to do it. All done with Aerosol spray cans. Average of about $10.00 per can. I spent around $280.00. It is still way less than what the local shop would charge me to do the same job. Lets hope the coating remains intact after a couple of years from now.

Looks great! Just did mine in por 15 but am going to spray areas I couldn't reach with a brush and top coat. What did you use?

I used mostly 3M Underbody Coating spray cans. I cleaned them all up from different local part stores. I then used some Dupli-Color underbody spray cans to finish the rest. My Taco runs so much quieter now as compare to how it was before. There are so many parts that the spray cans can't reach though; particularly the tops and the inside of the beams/frame. I concentrated mostly around the problem areas such as the ball joints, upper/lower control arms/ stabilizer bar/ axles, etc.

Thanks for the reply Kevin, you did a nice job of taping your exhaust off. I still have more coating to do...am a noob at this LOL so am learning what is what under my truck and what is safe to paint and what is not. When I have everything coated I think I'm going to get that rust proofer by Eastwood, it comes with a long spray straw so I can coat inside the frame too.
