Undercoating a new truck?

    Obsessed ? Why not. You can have a perfect, well maintained transmission and engine and if the body is badly rusted, it’s worth nothing on the open market except for salvage.

    Where, if the body is rust free and the tyranny is fried, it could still be worth thousands more. It’s not even close. Rust can make cars instantly unacceptable upon inspection. Mechanical problems no where near as limiting. For one hour a year, your can save the body for resale out to 10-20 years and recover thousands for you work. It’s hilarious to me why people will change oil fastidiously and neglect the body….

    I’ve had people pay me more for my used vehicles then the comparable used ones at a dealership…..

    Exactly. I applaud you for your truck body car awareness and it’s importance. But, it’s a totally different ball game in areas of heavier snow and salt and coastal areas.

    Totally agree that it's location dependent. Works perfect in Maryland where we have salt on the roads maybe 3 months of the year. I also make sure to wash the undercarriage after each snow/salting.
