    hi TW,

just wondering if anybody ever used Rust.undercoating spray can for painting fender flares? And if possible at all.I have a white truck, and looking to break up the all white.i hit the search button, but i have not seen where anybody has tried this.it would be a pretty cheap option if it will stick, and stay.what do think!thanks.

I just used Rustoleum Bed Coating Spray on my poweder coated nerf bars.
Sprayed the plastic step & all. Worked great.
Proper prep work meaning cleaning, sanding, applied a promoter/primer, then two coats of the bed coating.
    Very satisfied with the results.
Stepping on and off the boards the stuff has not chipped at all.
Plus you can touch it up if fades or use just once.
A guy over at TT did his bumpers & grill surround.
Also I know one of the mods here, tacomaman06 did his flares on a 1GEN with herculiner.
You Tube has a bunch of videos on herculiner, duraliner, rustoleum, duracolor

you want to spray tar on your fenders? I say go for it. Worst that happens is you meet up with a truck full of chickens on the highway, then you'll be tar and feathered. :D

    I just caught that.
Yeah OP I would suggest the bed coating spray not the undercoating stuff.
    That is a sticky mess!

I wouldn't use undercoating on your fender flares. Undercoating does not finish well and often takes days to dry. The product Simon's Mom was referring to is Rustoleum Bed Liner and would be a great product for your fender flares.

thanks for the replies everybody. I will look into the bed spray liner.

i did use the rustoleum undercoating spray can on a metal gas can carrier before, and it was'nt messy, and dried qwick if i recall. But i agree it will probably be crappy on fender flares.this is what TW is all bout, helping people.great place to visit on the net!
