    Hello Forum,

TAOScott, I ordered my Undercover Classic from 4WP, I specifically asked him to verify that the "new" Classic came with the hidden hinges. He showed me a pic of a Silverado on his computer screen & it showed the Classic cover with this type of hinge.

When the part arrived it had the exterior hinges which use the rings to secure it on the bed. We called Undercover directly & they informed us that on most vehicles the "new" Classics use the SE hinges but in the case of the Tacoma they kept the same exterior hinge style.

I prefer the look of the Classic but I chose to exchange it for the SE instead. It should be arriving this week. I don't carry many things that are taller than the bed walls & when I do it's usually about 8"'s above the bed walls, but if I do I will secure the cover with bunjee cords across the top to reduce stress on the hinges or remove it all-together for large loads.
