I recently installed an Undercover Classic tonneau cover. Are there any issues with locking it closed with the tailgate down (or off) to accommodate long items and then driving at highway speeds? My only concern is there might be enough upward pressure to bend or break the locks.

Anybody have any experience with this? I'm not sure how to figure it out without convincing a friend to hop in the box while we go for a ride.

Don't mind the frost. It's actually black.

I have an Undercover SE and I'd be more concerned about the tailgate bouncing about than I would the cover. The cover rests on the side rails so it has support.
