I've narrowed down my choices for a tonneau cover. Any feedback about the two from anyone that has had experience with these covers is much appreciated. Thanks!

I went with the flex. Can't even recall exactly what made me go this way as I also looked at both. I got mine at autoanything for just over 700. I love it. No complaints. Easy to install

Thanks for the insight. How long have you had it? Any issues with the paint fading or chipping?

Trying to decide if I want a non vinyl hard top. Last cover I had was a Pace Edwards jackrabbit. Great cover, but got tired of having to constantly put uv protectant.

The one thing drawing me to consider the Bakflip VP is the seamless looking top.

I've only had it for about a month. So can't really speak to the fading as of yet but they both are made of basically the same material as far as I could tell so my guess is they are equal in that category. I just realized you were talking about the VP. That looks sweet without the seams. I don't recall seeing that one when I was looking. The main thing that pushed me to the flex was the fact that it doesn't rest against the cab when folded up. Also built in straps to strap it down when folded 2\3. Check out this video. Maybe the VP has addressed some of these issues.

I haven't bought mine yet, just picked up the 15, but I was set on the BakFlip until my local shop turned me on to the Undercover Flex, which is essentially the BakFlip for about $100 less, and is Made in the USA. My shop told me Undercover recently bought BakFlip because they liked their cover, it was superior, and for patent reasons they just bought the company so they could produce the cover.
