I did simlar, this cost me about 4 bucks for the spray paint and a day of my time. Already had the winch and material laying around so pretty good bang for the buck. I went a little lower so I could keep the license plate, its a ticket in California, like everything.

Made my own Fairlead, all I had was a roller

I like the plastic part on the 2012's, the winch line doesnt rub the paint.

Yes - I don't recommend using the cheap Harbor Freight drill bits either!

And yes, that's the whole piece. Pic doesn't really show the whole thing that well though. It's very beefy and heavy gussets underneath. Very easy to do in the garage. If I didn't add the shackles, it would have probably taken about 3 hours to install - including cutting out the plastic grill.

Harbor Freight drills added about an hour and a half to that....

Very very nice installs everyone. I wish this setup wasn't an arm and a leg or I'd own it. :(

Mine is a custom mount that I made. Winch is a Superwinch EP9.0. wound with blue steel synthetic. Haven't pulled on it yet though, just a matter of time.

I got mine about 8 months ago. Love it! SOLID. Way less expensive than a plate bumper. The winch looks new since it is protected by the hood and grill

    Very nice!

Been looking at this mount... do you have any pics of where you mounted the solenoid? Like you I have lights behind my grill, which would probably conflict with the solenoid location that I see on most installs.

Hey, would you happen to have the dimensions of the undercover bracket? I have a 2011 4Dr Tacoma 4WD and looking to put a winch on and keep it stock. I've been welding for 18 yrs and would appreciate any help i could get. Save me a ton of money to make my own. Thank you
