Ditto, great write up and pictures. I am really liking these storage bins, only problem I have right now is drilling holes in a brand new truck bed. Ugh..........decisions, decisions......

had one of these in my 2010 (came with when I bought it used) and really liked it. Great way to store stuff and it really doesn't interfere with the bed at all as OP said

HOWEVER, the one problem I have with it, and the reason I do not have one now on my 2019, is that I don't think it works with bed stiffeners. If there was a way then i would probably buy one.

Ok, thanks OP. I'll look on undercovers website and see if they make one for it. I was looking on eBay and seen them for a 2nd and 3rd gen, but maybe eBay didn't list all of the models.

Is the lid pretty sturdy to where someone can't take a screw driver and pop it open if you have it locked? Cause that's the main reason I'm wanting one, is so I can get all of my tools that I keep behind my set, and lock them up in it. But I'm want to make sure it's not easy to brake into.

Ok, so here's my update however many months later. The case has actually developed a crack from "over-stuffing" it. The case is still holding strong but I'm assuming that crack will cause issues eventually as it's pretty long down the sides of one of the ends. It's still a good case and suits my purposes. Wish it was a bit more resilient though.

To answer the question about a screwdriver prying into it? I think with enough force, you could probably break the top of the lid to gain access inside. I think a metal version of this case would be better suited to prevent this sort of thing from happening. As my truck is garage kept and is not parked outside over night, the case is filling my needs for now.

Nice write up op. I would get on this too but its sounding like its not compatible with bed stiffeners.

Why does the wheel well cutout not go over the wheel well? There's like 6" of dead space in between. They could have just made it a rectangle that went top to bottom and was 2" shorter without really losing any space. Might even gain space due to depth

Id be willing to bet they used the box out of another truck they already make and just made a hinge/bracket kit for the Tacoma to save on production costs.

has anyone measured the available space front the front of the bed (agains the cab) to where the case starts? I would like to mount a Floor Jack above the wheel well next to this swing out box if possible. I have a short bed truck.

Nice storage solution. Too bad it wouldn't work with my tri-fold tonneau cover, and it would block the bed lights.

I like mine very much. Works with a Peragon cover.

Oh, and the knock offs are just that. The plastic is much less robust. The old saying is true. You get what you pay for.

I had a drivers and passenger side cases ordered but Undercover said they won't be making them for my 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter
