    ASHAMED EDIT:
    :smack:Stupid me was not pressing THAT, and I just assume that was it when I took the picture. I was pressing the spring loaded switch under the clutch pedal one inch below and two inches to the right....

    ====================================================
    I looked at every 128 buttons in the owner manual... sigh I missed it.
    I didn't go thru the 550 switches.
    I searched for underdash mystery button... Found a sh!t load of set button for TPMS.

    Couldn't find anything on this one.

    Can you guys tell me what this button do?

    [IMG]

    The actual button I was pressing... Sigh....

    I don't need a bolt for that. As posted, none of the 128 occurrences of Button in the user manual tells me what this is.
    and I don't feel like going thru the 500+ hits for switches.

    I also found evidence of it on page 448 in the user manual but doesn't say anything about it.
    It's right under the fuse box.

    That's a JIS switch. Test it by using an ordinary 10mm wrench to turn the nut clockwise until it stops. See if it still clicks when done

    If that doesn't work, part it out

    Only counterfeit Tacomas have that bolt. Hate to break it to yah, but your truck is a knock-off made in China.
