Yup. Tacoma has small mirrors compared to any of my work trucks. And there was a recall on collision sensor/adaptive cruise control. Could be one for the radio too. Or just faulty. Still under warranty though. All these things could be easily addressed.

Sorry to hear about your truck, I like mine, just not everything. All brands have there issues, do what you need to do. Life is short, don’t spend it with a vehicle you hate.

    Yeah.

HAHAHAHA! Dakota > Tacoma? Amazing. The numbers don't and never have shown that, but you do you. Sell it and get a Ram or something.

Or turn their head slightly like we were taught in driving school. Let me guess, you (OP) use the camera to backup only?

Gee. I think I'd take it back to the dealer. Let the dealer work out the problems.

    Or....
Take it to Dodge for a trade on a Dakota.

FWIW, I've had multiple new GMC trucks, each had its quirks. None of them were as solid when new as my Tacoma is with 108 kmiles and 14 yo.

    Good luck to you.

Hey where did you find the Taco Kool-aid?? I love that stuff man!!

    Lol

The radio is under warranty. Keep complaining and it will be fixed. The mirrors are adjustable. The rest is just new cars unless you buy a volvo.

Yeah swap out anything you don’t like with mods like the head unit, don’t use the sensor stuff if you don’t like it and maybe lube door?

I’m not sure what you expected when you called a Tacoma a POS on Tacoma forum for the other guys’s reactions:crapstorm:
If you don’t like the truck look into a GM truck high package. It will be nicer interior but wayyy more expensive. Good luck

    edit: pictures?

So, last weekend I bought my first Tacoma... 2020 SX (so cheap base model).

    Doors sound like doors.
Android Auto does have some stupid issues (but I think that those are with Waze specifically or my phone)
Haven't had an odd alerts on the collision except when I was hauling balls through a chicane and it thought other cars were a wall.
Mirrors seem fine to me. You want blind spots? Try driving a Carolla!
Not sure what is so hard about cruise control, but ok I guess.

FYI: You are probably getting "snarky" replies because you created an account on an enthusiast forum just so you can complain about a vehicle that you bought like anyone here is at fault for the issues that you have. Most of which are preference issues that you should have noticed during a test drive.

Aside from that, you seem like a Trololo. Have a great day and enjoy your new truck!

Be careful with the Kool-Aide......some knucklehead will come along to dump a bottle or 2 of Vodka or Everclear into it.

Then the party will get rollin'

After the better part of forty years with a driver's license, and having owned a LOT of vehicles, bought both new and used, the vast majority of which have been compact pick-ups (S-10, Ranger, B4000, etc, etc, etc...) my '18 Tacoma is without a doubt the best OVERALL vehicle I have ever owned. Are there some issues and/or things I'd change if I could? Absolutely! My 5 spd Ranger was quicker off the line, by S-10 was got better fuel mileage, but, overall? The Tacoma wins hands down.

If you're getting blind spots, your mirrors aren't set correctly. Or... you could just Hilti-gun a set of nice, big heated west-coast mirrors of an old 'R' model Mack... Your stereo isn't working properly? Push it as a warranty issue. Doors sound cheap? Umm... put a fresh battery in your hearing aid or lower your expectations. Seriously... that was one of the first things I noticed was that not only did the doors almost always close perfectly no matter how little effort I put into it (Something my Ranger NEVER did...), but they did so with a nice, positive sounding 'thunk'.

I'm not a "fan-boy", but I am someone who does a LOT of research into any major purchase, and objectively, I believe firmly that the Tacoma is the best overall compact pick-up available at the moment. Again, it's not without its faults, but they are few, and minor.
