I had the TSB flash done about 2 weeks ago and am not crazy about the results. The engine still revs high and gets stuck when it should be downshifting. And I lost about 2 mpg on my drive to and from work.

Thinking about having the dealer change it back. Has anybody done this?

I feel like learning mode has reset and it's basically about half as bad as it used to be preTSB. I don't think they have it quite right yet. Doubt you could revert back to old software.

I am still annoyed with the engine and shifting, but get -2mpg. Would rather be annoyed with the engine and shifting and get better mpg.

From what I've read in the TSB Megathread, no reversing once it's done. FWIW, I've got about 2k miles post-tsb and it feels significantly better than pre-tsb for me. Sorry it didn't work out for you OP

To my knowledge you can't go back to prior programming.

Agree. Learning mode gets reset which, at least for me, was slightly worse gas mileage than when it finally learned my driving style. I was averaging 18mpg for the first 4-5000 miles and been around 20mpg since then. Give it some time

2 mpg offer isn't that crazy, it's only 38 more miles per tank

Still a difference of 209 vs 247 per tank. I'd give it some time to figure it out

So far I'm impressed. Around a 4mpg gain on this tank from my average. Much better shifting with hills and when I gun it. No going back for me.

Please elaborate on the "RPM/Cruise thing". What speed and what type of terrain are you seeing this? If it's flat it should be keeping the same gear but if it's elevating, particularly steeper at high speed, it's going to have to downshift to maintain speed. That's what cruise does, maintain speed in not necessarily the same gear depending on terrain.

As I've said many times, the TSB was not meant to address any issues besides the 3 specified in the TSB. I don't understand why people keep expecting any changes beyond that.
