I never see a lifted tacoma where the front end is higher than the rear, Ive only seen one on the highway (just like mine, a 99 black tacoma) and it looked badass! Is it just personal preference or is there more to it? I wanna know bc I may lift mine in October and I was thinking of getting a 3" spacer in the front and a long rear AAL and then possibly a small body lift to make sure I can fit 33's. Im not too worried about the ride quality bc I dont really go offroading.

I see nothing wrong with what he's posting. Lots of members run 1" BL to clear tires. He said he doesn't off road so a spacer lift is fine, and he doesn't care about ride quality.

I think you want a bro lean, higher in the front lower in the rear. There are a few in the LT section floating around mainly because they do the front LT first before tackling the rear.

    1. He is not doing a LT setup

    2. He is never gonna get around to tackling the rear suspension because he thinks bro lean is "badass"

    3. Body lifts are in fact pointless. OP can do some small mods to fit 285s w/o the body lift

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
Around here the "bro-lean" or "bulldogged" is quite popular here, and that's mostly achieved with a lift (whether its 3, 4, 6 or whatever) then 2" spacers in the front. My truck has brolean since I'm only running 2" spacers in the front, people love it here. Soon it will be leveled out at 3. I'm running 285/75/r16s and rub at full lock.

What is wrong with it..? I've seen many fords do it and a Tacoma. I was just curious if it's not good for the truck or not. I wanted a small body lift to make it a little taller than 3". For the rear I would use AALs

I wouldn't do body lift, the ride is bad but most of all it's ugly. I'd rather have blocks or AAL in the back.

careful doing that, your head lights will be pointing in the tree tops, and in other drivers eyes at night. they usually dont like that....

Well I plan on getting HIDs so drivers will really like that but I can always adjust my halogens to point down more. The body lift is gross, I agree, but with a suspension already installed and just a small body lift won't be as noticeable. I don't get why this lift is gay...?

I have a Reg Cab, should I go with a "bro-lean" or level?

Definitley go level. And if you get HIDs please get clear ones, blue gives me(and more im sure) headaches and hurts my eyes. My friend has 8k HIDs and I want to kick him in the balls every time I see him.

I guess I might just do 3" in the front and 2" in the back since its already a little higher. Then I'll have some extra money for (besides tires and rims) exhaust, toolbox, or possibly a paint job. My friend said with some trimming I can fit 33s with a 3" lift.

And thats kinda funny bc 8k is exactly the ones I want haha. Only bc it will match my LEDs on my halogen headlights.

    Orly?

I disagree. A 1" BL will allow for clearance of larger tires without adversely affecting the overall integrity of the truck by radically razing the center of gravity.

Several TW members have taken this approach as a solution to fit 35's with a 3" suspension lift.
