recently just installed new trd trail rims and hankook tires. my ocd kicked in and i noticed that the rear right tire sticks out further than the left tire. pictures wont help. hav to see it in person. but has anyone had this issue? could it be that the vehicle was assembled unevenly?

My 03 TRD DC was that way in the front, it has probably always been that way and you just noticed it due to the different offset and width of the new wheels.when I switched to aftermarket wheels it was very noticeable to me.

i hope it was that way from factory cuz really bothers me especially if its due to the change. i assume you kept your stock wheels and tires hence your not having issues

If you think it's the wheels just switch them side to side

Unless the hubs are positioned at uneven lengths in relation to the transfer case, I'd bet it's poor QC on the wheels themselves. Even half an inch difference in the offset would be noticeable.

Loosen bed bolts. Align bed to wheels. Retighten bolts. :burnrubber:

If you're really OCD, get a 4-wheel alignment done.

Normal, I took mine to the dealer and saw this pic on the forum from another member. Noticed it when I got the sr8's put on.

This makes me feel better. I have the same problem and thought it was when I did my rear suspension.

It's usually when guys get wheels with a more aggressive offset, that this gets noticed. Likely it was always like that, and then when you really start focusing on something new (wheels), and notice it.

My 15 bed was off from the factory, I noticed it but when I put the shell on it I was really seeing it. So I lossend the bed bolts ,moved it over, within a 1/16, I,m happy. Might be the same thing with the wheels.

I would think that if this was the case the op would have already noticed the bed not aligned with the cab. OP, does the bed look like it lines up with the cab correctly and are the cab to bed gaps equal on each side? Axel and leaf pack have alignment pins but I wonder if loosening the u bolts and trying to shift the axel over would do much?

This. Mine is the same way. I could tell the bed is not centered properly after I looked at it closely. I haven't gotten around to fixing it.

Those pictures are not a good reference as the angles are different which would give the appearance of being different.

I would be more inclined to think that the rear axle is off unless you can look down the side of the truck and see that the bed is not alined with the cab, then it's a body problem, but I would be looking at the axle with a tape measure to see if the axle is even side to side.

The center pin on the leaf spring is not a tight fit in the axle mount, which could mean that the axle is not where it should be causing the side to side difference.

Or get the thrust angle checked at an alignment shop.
