I second the CC container, works very good. I've also removed inner wheel liner permanently for easy access to filter.

Take 2 minutes and pull the skid plate...then it's pretty clean.

Redneck Mike, thanks for the humor. I laughed my way to starting my week. Thanks and best wishes with the oil thing.

    1. Remove skid plate
    2. Drive to local mechanic
    3. Pick up when done, drive home and reinstall skid plate.

No cheese or cheese contaminated containers involved. I did 1-3 last oil change and got tires rotated for no charge to boot.

I have an All Pro engine and transmission skid plate set. It's a PITA to remove them. I recently installed them so they're quite clean; however, they are already getting a little dirty.
Glad to hear it :) P.S. I spent like a decade living in NYC lol so not much of a redneck but I do my best.
Where are these mechanics who charge next to nothing lol

    Cheese is haram.

    Apologize. Now.

Gear oil is made of cheese whiz? Weird. Guess you'd better go pull the plugs on your diffs and transfer case ASAP

I've used cardboard, or aluminum foil (the thicker kind) over the years. The 5VZ is no where near as stupid as the K24 I had in my Honda CR-V. The oil runs straight inside the subframe when you take the filter off. Terrible placement. Fills it up with oil and leaves it dripping for days.
