    Hey all,

Just did the UNI filter mod today, noticed my truck didn't come with the air pump cover. I've seen some of you fine folks have fashioned splash guards for the filter or purchased the OEM cover.

I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to spring for the OEM cover myself, let the filter live naked, or if I should fashion some sort of splash guard out of a plastic bottle or something (I live in the city and haven't been equipped with a vehicle capable of anything but gravel backroads until now, but I doubt I'll be wheeling anytime soon).

Anybody willing to weigh in on this and help me determine the best coarse of action here?

I wouldn't be too worried about it, there shouldn't be much of any water getting under the hood.
