Went through and did a transmission flush today because I got my truck used and thought it was better safe than sorry to get one done since I've hit over 100k miles.
Go back after the process and notice that I've got a loose cable tucked away near the battery. that I hadn't seen before anytime I've been under the hood.
Any idea what this thing is?IMG_20221218_145251332.jpg

Looks like the beeper mechanism for the truck when you click your fob.

Yep, looks like what is left of the beeper for the keyless entry.

Do any of you have pictures of the complete mechanism in question then because mine still makes noise.

    I appreciate the rapid respond

It looks like that, but with a matching black cover on the side where yours is broken off. :D

Stole this photo. It mounts somewhere in this vicinity, next to driver headlight:

Did a shop vigorously swap out your battery and bust it or something?

Dang, I appreciate all of the on point information.
No clue. I've had the truck for a three years now and never noticed that. So either they messed it up going for the transmission lines or its damage from the previous owner.
