Universal Bump stops

    I'm at stock ride height, but looking to replace the overly harsh oem bump stops on my truck front and rear. I've seen the Energy Suspension options which are a direct fit, but the same company (and others I'm sure) makes universal stops for even cheaper. I'm curious if anyone has adapted a set of universal stops to their rig and how they perform. I assume the only consideration is finding something approximately the same size or longer than the stock stops that will mount up.
