So do all Toyota dealers use Karr Alarm exclusively or it varies from dealer to dealer? I took my truck in to ask them to remove the factory alarm, and they told me that I have to take it back to the dealer that I bought the truck from, since different dealers use different alarms.

 

I don't think this is accurate for a 2nd Generation Tacoma. I have techstream and this isn't a selectable customization that I have seen in the interface. Please prove me wrong because I'd prefer this functionality.

 

I know for a fact that up to 2015 Tacoma's do not have this function and Techstream doesn't provide it either.

 

I don't have a Tacoma any more so will have to take your word for it. Just changed my '08 Tundra to unlock all doors first key cycle and first push of the unlock button on the FOB on the weekend, very easy with Techstream. Got rid of the seatbelt chimes too, since leaning my rifles on the front seat would set it off. Lots of other customizable options too, but I'm comparing apples to oranges. On the Tundra, the lock options were under "wireless lock" and "door lock" catagories.

 

2014. Didn't work for me. I think I have the karr. I have the alarm switch and blue light.

Am I just sticking key in ignition. Or do I turn where I see all the warning lights.

And then press unlock 3 times?
