Hello, I’m having an issue with unlocking my 2014 Tacoma. When I hit hit the unlock button, it beeps twice like normal unlocks, and then immediately beeps once and locks the truck. I have to hit unlock several times to disarm and get into my truck.
I reset the Fob with the truck twice, and nothing changed.
    What could it be?

Something with the ignition? I know if the truck thinks you have keys in the ignition it will automatically unlock right after you lock it.

Normally it should auto lock after 30 seconds I think, but not immediately. I've never heard of that issue before. You may want to just take it by Toyota and have them check it out. If it's going to be pricey, then look into an aftermarket alarm system. It would add significant range for your remote, and an alarm if you don't already have one. See what Toyota has to say first though, unless someone else can help you here. Good luck.

There's nothing in the truck that even given wrong information, should say, oh, you unlocked it. I need to relock it right away. Do you have an aftermarket alarm? If so, I suspect something wonky there.

Woops yeah, my comment was for the opposite instance, where you lock it, and it unlocks. My mistake.

Check the door open/closed switch. (Not the lock button)
The switch that the doors push in when closed. If it’s not functioning correctly, it doesn’t allow the doors to lock.
    Close the truck door(s)
Then look through the drives side window and see if the door open indicator light is on.
Also physically press the switch in by hand (all the way) and and see if the door locks.

I’ve not gotten my door close good a few times and it would not lock. Just flash the lights and revert to unlocked.
