I’m interested. I’ve participated in a number of group buys and have learned through experience to ask up front regarding tax and shipping. So I’m asking, is tax applied on the discounted price or the full price? And were you able to get free shipping for the group buy? Thank you.

 

Taxes are after discount.

Only time you pay sales tax on full price (when there's a discount involved) is when it's a post-purchase discount like a rebate, or when a retailer is being shady and trying to recoup some of the discount. Uncle Sam wants tax on what you actually paid.

Shipping, unfortunately I didn't work free shipping into the deal.

Sorry I apparently forgot to specify that. I was told the discount code would be for the entire recovery line, excluding "single shackles". So anything in their recovery page on their site except for the 1 piece shackles.

So the kit you linked can still get the discount. I'll add that info to the original post! Thanks for catching that.
