Yeah my Quicksand was to. I mean, you can't see it but just cheating out it seems. Maybe I'll airbrush it at some point or leave it alone.

Unsure, so many ways to go.
Just checked, paint cover looks good, quality of paint in question though. Chips easily. Frame already has spots of surface rust at 34000 miles, it's a 17.

1/4 inch of paint? Who the hell would put that much on haha, that’d be like 300 coats.

LOL if you thought these trucks were slow now, try with the weight of 300 coats of paint.

Good God man, you realize the frames are the same right?

Time will destroy a 2017 frame, two years after a 2015 fails.

I’m pretty sure they updated the painting process after the 2nd frame recall debacle.....or not?

Service campaign ZKA is in the works and includes 2016 and 2017. The Dana frames from 2005-2010 were crap but the frames from 2011-2017 are also experiencing premature corrosion.

I don't know if the paint changed but third gen frames are basically identical to later second gen and as such we are ALL doomed. (1st gen as well)

Hope my 19s frame will hold up. I also noticed Toyota used big plastic inserts that I had to remove while installing my sliders from my 16. The plastic covers are located at the start of the box frame opening from the transition of the C frame.. Also more of the small holes have plastic inserts.

You're probably right lol. I can see all kinds of shit getting stuck in there now. Might be a good idea to take them out sometimes to see what gets trapped in there.

Haha I’m just messing with you. I agree though, it might be a good idea to do that every now and then and clean it out. I would also 100% fluid film it

I'm confused...what parts are you saying aren't painted? The rubber seal between the bed and cab? Why would that be painted? lol

The spots in the fender area forward of the driver and passenger doors. When you open your door, leave it open about half way and look in the crevice between the fender and door.
My 16 QS was fully painted in there. My 19 MGM isnt fully painted. Like they did it a 1/4" lip of it.
