They're consistent with what I assumed on the forum, but not reflective of what I see in the wild. Out and about, I overwhelmingly see more Sports than OR's.

I have a TRD sport. 40,000 miles nothing but oil changes and aftermarket mods and I have no issues so far!

I would have to agree, I have observed the same where I live. I think that ORs are more owned by enthusiasts, or people that would visit a truck forum and/or modify their vehicles. Not saying that Sport owners aren't enthusiasts, but I feel that people that buy Sports are generally not interested in modifications.

Hahah, I know there are Sport owners on here that modify :)

I am talking about the people that buy Tacoma's and never visit a truck forum; I think that those are the ones that purchase Sports over ORs.

I think you're dead-on, and I figured the same. OR's probably have a much higher percentage of enthusiast owners.

Who knows, power steering just went out one day. I took it in and they had to replace the entire rack.
Dealership said they never had that happen on such a new truck, but I have a feeling they might not have told me even if they did.

Very happy with the sport, its the one for me. Had a couple things fixed on warranty but I'll keep it stock, maintain it, enjoy and make it last.

2 years and 28k miles on my OR DCLB, received it with 4 miles on the odometer, truck built in TX.

Had transmission fluid checked manually before I took delivery, were kind enough to let me observe the process and the level was correct.

At 5k miles had both the 1st transmission TSB done to correct R-D delay and the LCA plugs installed.

At 20k miles observed differential weep and had the hardware and gasket replaced as part of warranty, truck was not confiscated during wait for parts and I continued to drive it. Repairs completed and no more leakage. Never experienced the diff hum / noise.

Still love the truck very much, has been my favorite of the previous four I've owned.

    Bump

OK in an attempt to make this poll remain current I've changed it so that you can change your vote. This should work for those that have traded in a Gen 3 for another of a different trim.
