Hey everyone, I finally was able to buy my dream front bumper for my 2012 taco that I’ve wanted ever since it was released, a hybrid front bumper from Relentless Fabrication, and am facing some issues now. There were no instructions included and I was told it was a “simple bolt up” bumper, which it would be if you knew what oem pieces needed to be removed. After much trial and error I got the bolts and tow hook situation sorted and was able to get the bumper on the truck. My question is, was I supposed to leave the three stamped steel bumper/grill support pieces on the truck? They are visible between the gap of the bumper and don’t look very good, and the other issue that I can’t seem to find any info on is that my grille is now not connected anywhere on the bottom, and is just resting on the stamped steel support. I feel like any spirited off road driving would cause the grille the break off as it is only attached with two bolts and two plastic clips. And even with daily driving it’s going to rub the paint off the bottom of the grille. I’m fairly disappointed but at hopeful that I can get this figured out, any photos or advise would be appreciated.

I had to use tin snips to cut the top part of the old plastic bumper off so that the clips on the bottom of the grille would have something to seat onto. Fixed my grille rattling issues. Doing this obviously ruins your old bumper so you won’t be able to sell it if that’s your plan
