    Hello, Folks.

I have a set of Peerless AutoTrac tire chains that fit the 265/65R17 tire size. Most likely the 265/70R16s also. Test fitted, but never used. They do not fit 32s. $50 OBO / local pickup.

I have an unused Firestone Destination LE 265/65R17 spare that is available. Free-99 / local pickup. Big shout out to @Bertw192 for the matching 32in BFG spare! (DELIVERED)

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

I just upgraded my 16s to 17s. Now I'm wondering if I should upgrade my spare at some point lol

It really depends on how many flats that you see. It has always been very rare for us. We only needed an actual spare once in the last 25yrs. I've used plugs on our cars three times and about four times on my bikes.

My previous plan was that if I needed to use that spare, it would simply end my wheeling day due to the 30.5in to 31.7in mismatch. I would have no issue driving home but would be somewhat limited to 2Hi. It was nice to get a matching diameter AT spare, as Bert was getting rid of them.

If you have matching diameters and are thinking only between 16in and 17in wheel sizes? I wouldn't put another moment of thought into it. That 0.5in of sidewall is an incredibly small factor, esp for a spare. Looking at the typical Taco sizes, 17in does have many more tire choices.

I upgraded my 16x7 wheels to 17x7 wheels. My tires are also alot bigger than they were previously, but I still have that original spare under my truck lol

If you don't get flats often, I would recommend the route that I went: be lazy until a matching spare comes along. I'd say to stick with the 16in steelie unless you really want a matching one?

I also mounted up the spare myself as I usually do my own bike tires and have been wanting to try an automotive tire. Definitely more effort, but way better than ATV tires.

Depending on your tire size the 4runner takeoff spares are usually like $50 bucks and are 265/70/17
